Carpenter Technology Corporation will expand its Dynamet titanium wire and bar facility located in Clearwater, Florida. Dynamet, a subsidiary of Carpenter Technology Corporation, produces titanium wire feedstock for the aerospace fastener industry. The USD 5 million expansion will include the construction of a new facility and installation of proprietary manufacturing plants to produce the close tolerance, high performance wire necessary to manufacture titanium aerospace fasteners. The demand for titanium aerospace fastener wire is expected to grow as a result of the increase in wide body aircraft production and the introduction of new airframes.
