Carpenter Technology Corporation, a leading producer and distributor of premium specialty alloys, including stainless steels, titanium alloys, nickel and cobalt-based superalloys, alloy steels and tool steels, which is headquartered in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, has completed its acquisition of the assets and business of Puris LLC.
Puris LLC is a producer of titanium powder for additive manufacturing and advanced technology applications and the acquisition included Puris manufacturing assets, patents and related intellectual property. The reported purchase price was USD $35 million.
Operations will continue at Puris existing production site in Bruceton Mills, West Virginia, with the facility operating as a functional unit of Carpenter Powder Products.
