Cancana starts preparatory work at Valdirâo Mine

Cancana Resources Corp. commenced the development of infrastructure and mine-site preparatory work needed to establish commercial mining operations at its Valdirâo Manganese Mine in Espigao, in the State of Rondonia, Brazil.

Cancana earlier announced that the Departamento Nacional de Produção Mineral (DNPM), had issued a Guia De Utiliacão, or Trial Mining License, (Guia), on its 886241/2011 manganese claim, known as ‘Valdirâo’.
Once the infrastructure is complete, Cancana will immediately commence mining and stockpiling of unprocessed Manganese ore.
Infrastructure will include the establishment of a gated access, fencing to delineate roadways and areas of mining, grading and access roads and traversing road cuts across hillside and mining area for equipment access.

To facilitate this work, Cancana has hired contract-mining crews to execute the work in conjunction with Cancana’s own staff.
Cancana expects this preparatory and infrastructure work to take approximately 10 days to complete the initial stages.
Later on, after the mining commences, there will be ongoing and continued work in order to maintain access and establish new areas and extensions for access throughout the Valdirâo mining area.
