Canada: gas plant

TransCanada Corp. has received a contract from the Ontario Power Authority, to design, build and operate a 900MW natural-gas power plant near Toronto. The Calgary-based energy company expects to invest CAD 1.2 billion in the Oakville, Ontario natural-gas-fired combined-cycle plant, which is scheduled to start producing power by the end of 2013.
