Bristol Metals increases its pipe production capabiliti

A longtime local industry in Bristol, Tennessee, Bristol Metals, producers of stainless steel pipe and tubing, has begun a $5 million expansion in Partnership Park II, Bristol. The 90,000-square-foot building is being refurbished in order to install a 4,000-ton press that the company hopes will increase its offerings in the international market.

Currently, the producer of stainless steel pipe and tubing has the capability of producing about three-quarter-inch pipe. The installation of the new press will allow the company to manufacture pipe with a wall thickness of around 2 inches.

According to Kyle Pennington, president of Brismet, Synalloy`s Bristol Metals subsidiary: “We sell all over the world, but most of our business is domestic. The expansion will allow us to offer a new product that will open up a window for us to touch more international projects than we have historically done.”
