Alan Boeckmann has been elected to Sempra Energy’s board of directors. He will serve on the board’s Compensation and Corporate Governance committees. Boeckmann has a strong background in international business management, construction and engineering. He currently serves as the non-executive chairman of the board of directors for Fluor Corp, after maintaining his position as chairman and chief executive officer of the company from 2002-2011. Prior to this position, Boeckmann retained several senior management and operating positions at Fluor. He is a director of BHP Billiton and a board member for the National Petroleum Council. Boeckmann holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona in electrical engineering.
