BASF exploring new investment in Brazil

BASF is considering new investments in Brazil, including the production of acrylic acid, butyl acrylate and superabsorbent polymers (SAP). A feasibility study is being conducted to evaluate the technical, commercial and economic viability of operating a world-scale complex in Brazil. While BASF is currently producing butylacrylate in Brazil, there are currently no production plants for acrylic acid and superabsorbent polymers (SAP) in South America.
