Allegheny Technologies Incorporated (ATI) has appointed Mr. John S. Minich as president of the ATI Forged Products business Unit. Mr. Robert S. Wetherbee has been named as president of the ATI Flat Rolled Products business unit. Both of these new roles will become effective on April 1, 2014.
Mr. Minich has been with ATI since 1981 and was appointed as general manager of ATI’s Cudahy, WI forging operations in September 2012. Richard J. Harshman, ATI’s Chairman, president and CEO has commented, “Mr. Minich [in his previous role as general manager] has improved manufacturing efficiencies and the competitive cost position of this operation. He has also led a significant improvement in safety performance at the Cudahy operations.”
Mr. Wetherbee has been with the company since 2010 and has served as president of ATI’s tungsten materials business. Mr. Harshman has stated, “Bob is a strong addition to ATI’s leadership team. He has extensive operations, commercial, business development, and financial experience in the flat-rolled specialty metals industry. Bob will provide strong support to Terry Dunlap as we complete the transformation of our flat-rolled products business.”
