New York- based Arconic has signed a multimillion dollar contract to supply a global aerospace manufacturer with locally produced titanium products.
Under the agreement, ArconicÂ’s Titanium and Engineered Products business unit will supply titanium to Ducommun, which uses its proprietary hot-forming and super plastic-forming processes to produce aircraft structures for military and commercial aircraft platforms.
Arconic said the deal, announced recently at the 33rd annual Titanium USA conference in Miami, significantly increases the amount of titanium mill products it will supply to Ducommun. The titanium supplies will be produced at Arconic Niles Operations in Weathersfield and distributed from the companyÂ’s facility in Norwalk, California.
