API appoints new VP of Communications

The American Petroleum Institute (API) has appointed Megan Barnett Bloomgren as its new Vice President (VP) for Communications. Bloomgren most recently served as Acting Deputy Chief of Staff for the US Department of the Interior. The current VP, Linda Rozett, will retire later in June after seven years of service.

Bloomgren said: “I am excited to join a dynamic organisation and give voice to an industry whose impact is felt in every household across the country and around the globe […] The energy industry powered by natural gas and oil is pioneering innovations every day that help to meet the world’s challenges more quickly and more efficiently than ever thought possible.”
