AP&C begins work on new $31M plant in Montreal

Quebec metal powders manufacturer, Advanced Powders & Coatings (AP&C), has started construction on its second plant in the Montreal area. Garnering a CAD $31 million investment, the company, which supplies the aerospace, medical and additive manufacturing industry with titanium and Inconel powders, plans to complete work on the site before the end of 2019.

The federal government also announced it would support the project with a CAD $2 million investment through the CED (Community Economic Development). The funds will go toward buying high-performance equipment at the plant. AP&C expects to create 106 jobs at the facility while significantly increasing its capacity and exports.
