American Elements expands AM capacity

Los Angeles-based materials science company American Elements has announced the further expansion of its pure metal and metal alloy powder production facility to increase the volume and variety of powders it can make to support the burgeoning additive manufacturing industry.

“At full capacity, the improved facility can deliver several metric tons of high-purity alloys monthly,” stated Gabriel Leis, Head of Additive Manufacturing and Rapid Prototyping at American Elements.

American Elements is a producer of highly spherical, agglomerate free and narrowly distributed powders for additive manufacturing. The company’s custom and exotic alloys are being employed in industries such as aerospace components and medical devices.
