AFT Platinum Pipe Award Recognizes Engineers

Applied Flow Technology (AFT) is now accepting entries for the 2021 Platinum Pipe Award. Since 2004, the annual contest has recognized excellence in piping and ducting system modeling using AFT software. On average, five to ten projects are recognized each year in the categories of:
1. Most Interesting Model: how features in AFT software allowed users to model something that they were not able to do before.

2. Correlation to Test/Field Data: Did the hydraulic model and field data match well?
3. Operational Benefits and Sustainability: Did the hydraulic model significantly change the way operations are performed and save time, energy, material or money? Was the reliability of the system increased?
Engineers in all oil & gas streams (up, middle, and down) who use the AFT software can enter. AFT software can be used on anything that goes through a pipe; it is used on pipelines, refineries, nuclear power plants, water plants, subsea platforms, aerospace, paint and food companies.
Entries are due to AFT by October 31, 2020. Winners receive a $500 gift card (or a donation to their charity of choice), and their company receives $2,000 in software.
