The European Stainless Steel Development Association (Euro Inox) has just published a brochure on the adhesive bonding of stainless steel in German. Until now, it was only available in English.
The brochure details the best ways to fasten stainless steel to almost any support when normal fastening methods, such as welding or bolting, are impractical. It helps make stainless steel more appealing for users who aren’t able to cut, bend, or weld metallic materials.
The guide explains that adhesive bonding is often used to attach high quality satin-finished, mirror-polished, patterned or colored stainless steel sheets safely and cost-effectively to walls, ceilings, lift cabins, etc. The benefits include the risks of mechanical or heat damage from mechanical fastening or welding are completely avoided.
The brochure uses easy-to-understand language along with detailed diagrams and colored photos to help guide the reader through the process of bonding stainless steel. A digital copy (in both languages) is available online at: http://www.euro-inox.org/pdf/map/Adhesive_bonding_EN.pdf.
