Next generation titanium for additive manufacturing

Advances in power metal technology and additive manufacturing remain hot-button topics in the global titanium industry. Companies are busy scaling up the next generations of titanium powder metal for initial levels of industrial production. 

Thus far, the titanium additive manufacturing sector is taking shape along the lines of the materials used in the production process: titanium wire used for big parts and titanium powders used for smaller parts. Ultimately, the design flexibility of additive manufacturing can help open doors to new global markets for titanium.
