Laser Photonics, based in Orlando, Florida, has launched the 2,000 w, a handheld laser cleaning machine, which is fully capable of meeting health, and environmental regulation in manufacturing environments.
Laser Photonics, which makes fiber and CO2 laser machines for marking, cleaning, cutting, and engraving, explains the cleaning system, called Cleantech LPC 2000CTH, uses a high-powered energy-efficient last to clean a variety of materials including aluminum, anodized aluminum, alloy metals, stainless steel, mild steel, copper, brass, non-transparent plastics, plaques, and others.
The system is well-suited for industrial manufacturers who operate with components that have to withstand high-temperature environments, such as maintenance and repair facilities for military, shipbuilding, and aircraft repair facilities.
Laser cleaning aims to minimize chemical and abrasive usage in industrial environments, to meet increasing compliance with OSHA and EPA requirements.
