Metalinox Cogne invests in new cutting machine

The distributor of stainless steel in São Paulo, Brazil, Metalinox Cogne, has recently invested in a brand new cutting machine to help increase production. This innovative piece of equipment is the SCMD 460 A, which was manufactured by Franho-Brazil.

The saw is a carbide cutting machine and is specifically intended to be used for stainless steel alloys. By investing in this state-of-the-art machine, speed and productivity for cutting bars will be increased approximately 3 to 4 times when compared to a conventional band saw. The machine is equipped with automatic ‘Program Logic of Control’, which allows for sequential cutting with continuous bar feeding.

With this new investment and subsequent increased productivity, Metalinox Cogne now has the ability to supply stainless steel bars (main sizes) within 24 hours after ordering. All of the products have a high level of precision in terms of thickness and quality.
