Sandvik, a developer and manufacturer of products in advanced stainless steels and special alloys, with locations throughout the Americas, has finalized negotiations to sell its International Conveyor Components businesses and its Specialist Conveyor Systems business to NEPEAN Conveyors Pty Ltd.
The acquisition includes 195,000 m2 of manufacturing operations located across Brazil, Germany, Australia and Finland, and will see around 340 Sandvik staff members join NEPEAN.
Through the acquisition, NEPEANÂ’s customers will have access to the IP developed via SandvikÂ’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities. New product lines, including composite roller technologies, will be brought to market as a priority.
