Aperam to divest its welded tube entities

Aperam, a global player in stainless, electrical and specialty steel, with 2.5 million tonnes of flat stainless and electrical steel capacity in Brazil and Europe, has acknowledged and is currently contemplating a binding offer from mutares AG to acquire its stainless steel welded tubes entities located in Ancerville (manufacturing plant) and Annecy (distribution center) in France.

mutares AG acquires companies that are being sold in the course of a repositioning process and offer an operational improvement potential. Any transaction would be subject to a consultation process with the works council in accordance with French law and customary closing conditions, and would be expected to be completed by the end of the first half of 2017.
