Ontario-based Xiris Automation Inc., which specializes in developing optical systems for quality control, has released a the new XVC-1000 weld camera starter kit that includes the XVC-1000 High Dynamic Range (HDR) weld camera along with a collection of optics, mounting hardware, power supplies and cables. With everything in one box, welding operators can get the camera configured quickly to remotely monitor the alignment and quality of most weld processes and make adjustments as necessary.
The camera is capable of HDR image capture, allowing the user to see all details of an open arc, its surrounding environment and position relative to the weld seam. The XVC-1000 aims to allow operators to be able to make meaningful process and quality control decisions, providing productivity benefits including faster set up times, increased weld on times, better process troubleshooting and off line quality auditing and review.
