ToughMet® corrosion resistant alloys

Materion ToughMet® high-performance, high-strength copper nickel tin alloys provide many advantages in tough environments with demanding end-use applications. ToughMet alloys carry more load, last longer, require less maintenance and virtually eliminate the need for unplanned repairs.
In terms of corrosion resistance in heavy equipment, ToughMet material is a spinodally hardened alloy with high strength, corrosion resistance, lubricity and wear resistance under severe loading conditions. Consistently, bearings, bushings and other wear plates made of ToughMet material outperform steel and bronze in heavy equipment. Moreover, ToughMet material solves equipment failure caused by wear or environmental corrosion, when equipment performance and uptime matter most.
