Graham wins North American oil & petrochemical projects

The global designer, manufacturer and distributor of critical equipment for the oil, petrochemical and power industries, Graham Corporation, has won four orders for projects that are valued at approximately USD $10 million.

The orders pertain to upgrades of Graham ejector system components at three oil refineries and an ethylene capacity expansion project in North America. Shipments are scheduled during the next nine to 15 months. Three of the orders are for equipment at existing North American oil refineries such as replacement parts for two Canadian oil sands refineries and another oil refinery in the US. Upgrades of critical components are especially important in these plants because of the highly corrosive nature of the feedstocks being processed. The upgrades have improved metallurgy to help extend the amount of time between planned plant maintenance and inspection shutdowns. The fourth order is for a project that will add ethylene production capacity on the US Gulf Coast. Graham will be supplying condensers for this particular project.

James R. Lines, Graham’s president and chief executive officer, has commented, “Our large installed base in the North American oil refining market continues to drive orders as our customers attempt to reduce the frequency of plant shutdowns and change the feedstock refining capabilities of their facilities. We believe that our customers’ choice of Graham for replacement equipment is a testament to our quality and reliability.”
