Allegheny Technologies (ATI) has acquired Dynamic Flowform. The company, located in Billerica, Massachusetts, uses a precision flowforming process to produce thin-walled components in net or near-net shapes across multiple alloy systems such as superalloys, titanium, zirconium, stainless steel, etc. The major industries that Dynamic Flowform serves are aerospace & defence, oil & gas and petrochemical & chemical. Just some of the many examples of Dynamic’s products include airframe & jet engine components and oil & gas drilling tools.
Rich Harshman, ATI’s chairman, president and CEO, has commented that the acquisition is consistent with ATI’s strategy to create value through the expansion of our capabilities to make specialty materials parts and components. He further stated, “This acquisition is expected to be immediately accretive to ATI. We have identified significant growth opportunities for Dynamic Flowform’s products, especially in the aerospace and oil & gas markets. These opportunities are expected to benefit from ATI’s existing global marketing and sales capabilities, and ATI’s supply chain experience and relationships with OEMs.”
