Nano-Clear to help improve corrosion resistance

Nanovere Technologies has introduced their new product, Nano-Clear, which is designed to improve corrosion and abrasion resistance in a variety of industrial applications.
Nano-Clear also prevents degradation of paint from ultraviolent light, which is a massive improvement compared to conventional paint systems and epoxies that leave paint susceptible to UV rays. This can result in a breaking down of the paint’s internal molecular bond, which can cause surface chalking, decreased abrasion resistance and discoloration. Nano-Clear can penetrate deep into the smallest paint pore, thus enriching the underlying color and increasing the surface hardness. It also protects the underlying pain from scratching, corrosion and chemicals. The proprietary 3D nanostructured polymers give dramatically higher crosslink density compared to other conventional coating systems.

This new nanocoating technology will be beneficial in a multitude of applications such as US Army landing crafts that have an epoxy system that can begin to yellow within three weeks and corrode after only six months at sea. There are also snowplow trucks that are used on behalf of the Michigan Department of Transportation that have to be recoated every few years because of the extreme corrosion caused by salt.
