Brazil sets AD duty on certain stainless products

Camex, the Brazilian industry and foreign trade ministry’s commerce chamber, announced this month that it has now placed an antidumping (AD) duty on austenitic stainless steel cold rolled coil imports from Germany, China, South Korea, Finland, Taiwan and Vietnam.
In December 2011, a petition against dumping was filed by the stainless steel producer Aperam Stainless South America and the following April an investigation was launched.
This newly implemented duty will remain valid for five years and will range anywhere from $235.59/mt to $1,076.86/mt.
