Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has been awarded a contract by CMPC Group’s Celulose Riograndense Ltda. for the design and supply of an integrated chlorine dioxide plant for its pulp expansion project in Guaiba, Río Grande do Sul, Brazil.
The plant is anticipated to produce 60 tons (equivalent to 55 metric tonnes) of chlorine dioxide per day.
Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is designing and engineering the plant, supplying key equipment and materials including Jacobs’ proprietary Chemetics® equipment, and providing technical services for plant erection, operator training, commissioning and testing.
