MesoCoat to open new plant

MesoCoat, a subsidiary of Abakan Inc, is taking the final step toward the market introduction of CermaClad, its award-winning process to apply wear and corrosion-resistant coatings to oil and gas pipes.
The Euclid, Ohio-based company will open a new plant capable of producing $70 million in clad pipe annually. It is estimated to be one of the largest clad pipe manufacturing plants in the world in terms of production capacity.
MesoCoat’s technology helps to reduce the impact of corrosion, which costs the industry more than $1 trillion annually, and helps to unlock corrosive and deepwater reserves for production.
