AE to power project at US Navy PMRF

Advanced Energy’s new stainless steel PV Powered commercial PV inverter line has been selected to power a 787kW project at the US Navy Pacific Missile Range Facility (PMRF) in Kekaha, Hawaii. The project was awarded to Advanced Energy (AE) by Maui Solar Energy Systems who will construct the project. AE’s stainless steel inverters are suitable for tropical, marine environments like Hawaii, where sea-salt moisture can damage sensitive electronics systems. AE’s stainless steel inverters can easily accommodate a 20+ year project life, without additional maintenance. Construction on the PMRF project is presently underway and is scheduled for completion by July 2011. Maui Solar has also installed a PV Powered 260kW inverter in a PV installation at Pearl Harbor.
