RMT to build wind energy facilities

RMT has received a contract from Western Wind Energy for the construction of two wind energy facilities in the USA. As per the contract, RMT has begun construction on the 120MW Windstar project in Tehachapi, California, and the 10MW Kingman project in Mohave County, Arizona. RMT will be responsible for the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of the civil and electrical Balance of Plant (BOP) for both of the plants. The firm will also be responsible for the installation of Gamesa 2MW wind turbines at both sites. The Kingman and the Windstar facilities are scheduled to begin operations by the second and fourth quarters of 2011 respectively.
