New president and cco for Harsco

Harsco Corporation appointed Daniel McAtee president of Harso Minerals and Gene Iannazzo chief commercial officer of Harsco Metals and Harsco Minerals. Both positions will report to Galdino Claro, the EVP & group CEO of Harsco. An executive leader of multi national operations including General Electric and Tyco Plastics and Adhesives, McAtee brings more than 20 years of senior management background to the company. He has guided successful international growth and joint ventures in China and led the integration of Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives within many GE operations, including its USD 1.3 billion power euipment business and the GE superabrasives units in Europe and the U.S. His most recent position was as president and CEO of Tree Island Industries, a North American producer of wire products for construction, agricultural, manufacturing and industrial applications. McAtee holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado in chemical engineering as well as a master’s degree in business administration from Ohio State University. The former president of Harsco Minerals, Mr. Iannazzo steps into the newly created role of chief commercial officer after successfully leading the integration and recent growth of Harsco Minerals since the formation of the group in January 2009. He is now responsible for leading strategies for long term profitable growth.
