New materials recycling facility in Atoka

On 13 July city and state officials helped break ground on a USD 20 million recycling factory for Oklahoma Materials Recycling. The company makes a key material used in the manufacture of stainless steel. The company will build a new facility in Atoka’s city industrial park using an existing 30,000sq/ft building, and will add an 80ft tall processing tower to the campus. Company officials said that millions of dollars in federal and state guaranteed loans helped make this factory a realization. And they chose Atoka in part because of its location and economic incentives. The factory will take about a year to build.
