Marvel Mfg Co. has announced a new addition to their Spartan production band saw line, the PA460-HD. This is a twin post machine specifically designed to cut specialty steels. This new model combines rigid construction, a 10 HP blade drive and enhanced coolant delivery. The vibration dampening system helps to reduce noise levels and extend blade life. The end result is a saw that delivers maximum cutting rates on tough to cut materials such as tool steel and stainless. The machine vise is a split front jaw design that holds material securely on both sides of the cut, while the automatic bar feed vise is designed to reduce remnant lengths to as little as 3in. Additional standard features include a touch screen N/C control, 1.5in blade, and power chip auger.
