US DOC anti-dumping review

The US Department of Commerce (DOC) has announced the final results of its antidumping duty (AD) administrative review for stainless steel sheet and strip coils from Taiwan, making no changes in the margin calculated in the preliminary ruling. The DOC came to the conclusion that for respondent Chia Far Industrial Factory Co. Ltd, the only concerned party for the review, an AD margin of 4.30% should be imposed, the same margin as in the preliminary finding. The reviews initiated for the other two respondents, Yieh United Steel Corp. and Ta Chen Stainless Pipe Co. Ltd, are rescinded as these companies had no shipments of the subject merchandise during the review period. The period of review was 1 July 2007, through 30 June 2008 and the preliminary results of the review were issued on Tuesday, 5 August 2009. The petitioners in the case were Allegheny Ludlum Corp., AK Steel Corp., United Auto Workers Local 3303, United Steelworkers of America, the Central Labour Council of the American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO/CLC), and Zanesville Armco Independent Organization.
