Tenova I2S Cluster Mill commissioned in USA

Tenova I2S has announced the commissioning of their new ZR33-22” Mill at MK Metalfoils USA in Duncan, South Carolina. MK Metalfoils is a division of MK Metallfolien GmbH of Hagen, Germany. Both divisions of the company run stainless steels and special materials like nickel and nickel alloys, catalyst foils, and titanium in thicknesses down to 0.020mm. The new Tenova I2S mill is equipped with AC Drives, Solid Block Winders, Wind-on/off Stations, dynamic Crown Adjustment, Tenova I2S Gamma Thickness Gauges, and an automation and controls systems that allow the mill to produce thin strip foils at operating speeds of 500MPM. The new mill has remote diagnostic capabilities, via the Internet. The South Carolina plant has an Ethernet plant wide network, and downloads the Pass Schedule information directly to the mill.
