WorleyParsons has been awarded a contract by United States Steel Corp. to form a Capital Projects Alliance to support four major integrated steel works and its US tube making operations. The Alliance Agreement between WorleyParsons and US Steel covers engineering projects with an installed value between USD 100,000 and USD 100 million; together with ongoing production support. The agreement will commence in November 2009 and have a nominal term of three years with mobilization activities to support the contract’s launch commencing immediately. It is estimated that the contract will generate revenues in excess of USD 50 million.
