First Nickel to restore mine

First Nickel has decided to restore the Canadian Lockerby nickel mine within two years. The company expects that nickel price may rise above USD 7 per pound. The company has also stated that the nickel price during 2011-2015 may increase to USD 10 per ton. The restoration costs of Lockerby may be about USD 54.2 million. First Nickel had decided to suspend nickel production in last October.
