Flux-cored welding wire

Hobart Brothers, based in Ohio, US, has released its Hobart Fabshield 23 self-shielded flux-cored welding wire for general purpose welding fabrication and repairs on thin gauge mild or galvanized steel and coated materials. The Fabshield 23 produces a soft, smooth arc with good wetting action, also making it easy for welding operators to use on multiple welding applications and material thicknesses. Because it requires no shielding gas, the Fabshield 23 wire can be used outdoors or in drafty conditions. The Fabshield 23 wire features low spatter levels to help minimize post-weld cleanup. It is suitable for single-pass welding applications, especially for fillet and lap welds, and welding operators can use it in all welding positions. Hobart Brothers offers the Fabshield 23 welding wire in .030-, .035-, .045-, 1/16- and 3/32in diameters in multiple packaging weights.
