Kloeckner Metals Expands Heavy Fabrication Capabilities

Kloeckner Metals has announced that it is leading commercial, manufacturing, and operational activities at the former Bauer Built Manufacturing site in Paton, Iowa. It is adding advanced heavy fabrication across welding, hydraulics, and assembly — along with in-house industrial painting — at the facility. The 300,000 sqft. facility marks Kloeckner’s first fully integrated manufacturing operation capable of delivering painted subassemblies.

With in-house painting and engineering, the company further enables its customers to consolidate suppliers, streamline production, and move from coil and plates to painted parts through a single, integrated solution. These capabilities also strengthen Kloeckner’s higher value-added execution across infrastructure, data centers, agriculture, construction, mining, and truck and trailer markets in North America.

The experienced team at the Paton site will remain in place as Kloeckner builds on a strong manufacturing foundation and continues investing in customer-driven capabilities.
