ERFTCARBON GmbH will return to the North and South American markets as an independent supplier of UHP graphite electrodes. The decision was based on a strategic move to strengthen long-term partnerships in the region. It also supports the growing demand for circular steel production via electric arc furnaces (EAF).
Formerly part of Tokai Group, the company now operates under its own name and corporate structure. With production based in Grevenbroich, Germany, ERFTCARBON will supply large-format UHP graphite electrodes ranging from 20” to 30” in diameter.
The initial target market is steelmakers in North America to meet the demand for electrodes made in Europe. While capacity figures or delivery schedules were not disclosed, the company emphasized continuity in product performance, reliability and technical support.
