U. S. Steel Recognized by Vibrant Pittsburgh as a DE&I-Leading Organization

United States Steel Corporation announced it has been named a Vibrant Index 5.0 Champion for the second time in recognition of its diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) leadership in the Pittsburgh region. The award highlights organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to DEI through their policies, programs and workforce representation.

The Vibrant Index is an annual diagnostic assessment conducted by Vibrant Pittsburgh, an economic development non-profit dedicated to increasing diversity and ensuring continued economic vitality in southwestern Pennsylvania, and the Allegheny Conference on Community Development. Designed to evaluate the DEI practices of area organizations, the Index uses a proprietary process to evaluate responses across nine impact areas. Organizations that score at or above the 95th percentile in each of the nine impact areas earn Vibrant Champion status, a designation reserved for those that embody leadership in cultivating a diverse, equitable and inclusive workplace culture.
