Samuel, Son & Co. acquires Basic Stainless

Samuel, Son & Co. (Samuel), the fifth largest metal processor and distributor in North America has acquired Basic Stainless Inc., a service center operating from an 80,000sq/ft facility in Marshfield, Wisconsin; the company also has branches in Green Bay, Wisconsin and Minneapolis, Minnesota. The acquisition of Basic Stainless comes as a result of Samuel’s desire to expand in the US market; with this acquisition the number of Samuel locations in the Midwest region of the US will be seven. Basic Stainless will retain its name and operate as a division of Samuel, Son & Co. Inc. The company will also expand its current inventory of stainless sheet, plate, bar, pipe and tube to add aluminum products.
